The time is now! [Aug. 14th, 2007|08:09 pm]
Well, finally, found some time to blog. I wouldn't have been bothered to blog if not for a brilliant idea from my dearest Meida Mary Chooi Hui Hui of Hougang on what she calls "online preaching" :)

Anyway, just some updates and encouragement for all of us. Well, lately, the Lord has been speaking to me about "taking the stand in this generation." Everywhere I turned to was the word "stand". It started last week while praying, He impressed upon my heart, Ephesians 6:12-14,

"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness..."

And then while choosing the songs I was going to lead in 3rd service, I came across the song "Stand" by planet shalers in their new album, "Saviour of the world". It didn't stop there. I went online to check out updates in our church website and I was reading the message our senior pastor wrote and he ended the whole entry with "Will you stand and be counted?".

Overwhelmed by the message of the whole "stand" thing, I told our good Lord "yes Lord, I will stand for you". And I heard the Holy Spirit nudging my heart and He said "the time is now". And i want to say this, that it's high time for us to take the stand in our generation, not next week, not a few months down the road, not next year, but NOW. The time is NOW!

Will you come along for this adventure of a lifetime? Will you enlist yourself in the service of the Lord, regardless of the consequences or cost? Will you give your life for the Master's cause, to make disciples of your nation and the nations of the world, to shine the light in dark places, to glorify Jesus as Savior and Deliverer and Redeemer and Lord? Will you be a revolutionary?

This is the moment we've been waiting for. History makers, arise! The time is short, the hour is late, and the battle for the soul of our nation is intense. But victory is ours. Our Savior lives! All authority in heaven and on earth belongs to Him and there is no power or force that can withstand His mighty name. Therefore, we must go!

Fellow soldiers, holy servants of the risen Lord, blood bought disciples of the Master, heed the call. It's now or never, it's time to put up or shut up. Either we take a stand once and for all, or forever we hang our heads in shame. Even the homosexuals are our of their closet, it's time for Christians to come out of their closets! History is awaiting our move. So on with it! Let's start a revolution!

Taking the stand,
Sabrina Low

Rock the boat! [Jun. 25th, 2007|10:52 am]

I once read a quote that said "When we need to be talking about the call to die for the gospel, we're talking about the call to diet for good looks"

Gospel = good news.

Do we realize that news can only be news if they are COMMUNICATED. We can pray and pray and pray for a school, a city, a nation till we run out of words, but if no one steps out and takes action, nothing would be done.

This generation of preachers is responsible for this generation of sinners! At the very doors of the church are the masses. They are unwon because they're unreached, unreached because unloved.

I remember my younger days, when we did crazy things for God! The desperation and love drove us to radical actions. I remember going around the classes in my secondary school during lesson times, calling out the Christians of each class (not one teacher rejected or asked anything!) and getting everyone of them to fill in a form that I came up with to ask if they wanted to see revival in KC and if so, if they would join me to seek God in our school premise. I remember going on the streets and telling people about Jesus Christ without feeling the slightest shame and fear. I remember the small group of us gathering at houses to seek God and pray for revival. Those were sincere desperate cries. I remember...I remember......

Enough of the "I remember's"! It is now time to stand up for the truth again and do exploits that will change the destinies of people, schools, governments and nations.

"Could a mariner sit idle if he heard a drowning cry? Could a doctor sit in silence and just let his patients die? Could a fireman sit idle, let men burn and give no hand? Can you sit at ease in Zion with the world around you damned?"  -Leornard Ravenhill

"Go ye" and not "sit still" [Jun. 25th, 2007|10:30 am]

It's been long since I wrote an entry, but just something that's been burning in my heart these days. It really is hight time that Church of Jesus Christ goes out of the 4 walls.

I remember watching a video of a young missionary to Cambodia. He said in the video that there was this once when he was in a church in Cambodia waitin for the service to start, children, mostly orphans, ran up to him and all of them wanted to be on his lap and be hugged by him, they wanted love that they didn't have. There was this one particular boy who got to him first, climbed onto his lap and hugged him. "At first, I thought it was cute for him to want me all to himself, hugging me very tightly and pushing all the other kids away but after some time, I got disgusted by his attitude". And then, God spoke to him. He said "this is how My Church behaves. The church is sitting on the Father's lap, and all they want is the comfort and love of the Father all to themselves. When the hopeless, the sick and diseased, the outcasts of society want to come to me, the Church is pushing them away because she's comfortable in the arms of her Father and does not want to rock the water."

It is time my friends, to rock the boat. It is time to walk on water.

It's coming to a month since school has started. Instead of seeing increase, we're seeing decrease. Laid back? Compromise? Complacency? Superficiality? Asleep? How true it is that the devil puts a generation to sleep because he knows the great potential that's in this generation to shake schools, governments, cities, nations. I would personify this generation as a sleeping giant. A giant loses its greatness, strength, power when he's asleep but when he wakes, the world trembles.

It takes a living fish to swim against the current. A dead fish goes with the current, it goes with the flow. Is there just one living fish who would swim against the current and make a difference?

Camp was a blast! [Dec. 15th, 2006|09:56 am]
Camp was a blast! It was so good that I'm still suffering from post camp syndroms. We had our very first and wanted LIKE CRAZY MAMA SHOP! and it was a sweet success! All our food were wiped out just the first night! Here's a breakdown of the camp...

08/12/2006 (Friday)

Camp comm arrived at 9am to set up the whole place. 350 Campers reported at 1pm in St Gabiels's Sec school hall. We were very impressed with this year's creativity. The different groups had very unique identities and banners. The camp kicked off with cheers from the different grps. Camp rules were given to avoid chaos and keep the discipline. Campers then moved into their allocated rooms to settle down and assembled in the hall again for the opening session by Pst Jeremy Johnson. Although it was only an opening session, the anointing and presence of God was heavy among us. This was only the beginning of something greater.......

The first night session was great. People were all over the floor crying out for more of God. And like i said, this was just the beginning..

09/12/2006 (Saturday)

Morning session was an unforgettable time for me personally. During the altar call, I was so overwhelmed by the presence of God. I couldn't stop crying. It started with groans and after the altar call was over, i couldn't hold back my tears still. I tried to compose myself when I stood up but the presence of God was too overwhelming. I was jerking and I felt like falling to the ground but i kept holding myself up. I walked back to my seat and sat down, tried to "wake myself up" again but I didn't want to open my eyes cos i din wanna lose that feeling i was having then. Indeed, I could say that "better is one day in His courts than a thousand elsewhere". I was just soaking into Him and my ears became to feel numb, then my head, then my hands. It was the most amazing feeling! We were going to have the afternoon games so i had to go back to the bunk to get ready as the campers were all strolling into the hall for the game briefing. I got up and made my way to the classroom. Tears were still streaming down my eyes. God did a work in my life and i walked away feeling different, feeling lighter. He whom the Son sets free is free indeed.

Afternoon game was a success. It was called "the colourful race". Groups had to find the clues placed all aroud the 1st level of the school and then set off to their first station in any order they wanted. There were 7 stations altogether and every station they completed, the station master had to paint a given colour on a their body (station 1, red colour on right arm etc). Our purpose was to make the campers as colourful as possible and to make them look really CRAZY on the streets. All of us had fun.

Night session soon arrived and it was my turn to lead praise and worship. I must say for the first time, I didn't feel nervous. I wasn't anxious at all but was really excited for worship to begin. there was a stirring within my spirit and I really didn't care about croaking (I had lose my voice by now), but all i wanted to do was to worship Him and be CRAZY for Him. And sure enough, the presence of God hit the session during worship itself and people were on their faces crying out "show me Your face O God.."

Tonight, the camp comm decided to do something to "discipline" our campers. Lights out was at 1am everyday. We were upset when campers were still loitering around the campsite even past 2am and attitude problems were shown to the camp comm, thus we decided to "tekan" the whole camp. We woke the whole camp up at 2.30am when everyone was already falling into deep sleep. We gathered them in the hall and gave them a nice good discipline talk. I must say it was all worth it because the next night, the campus was dead silent at 1am and everyone was in their bunks.

10/12/2006 (Sunday)

First Sunday service out of church building! We had our service in the campsite. Again God never failed to show up during service. Young people laid all over the floor crying and groaning.
We ha d a "special program" set up for the campers and it was to screen an in house movie! We showed "patch adams" in the air conditioned hall and campers brought in their sleeping bags, pillows, to make themselves confortable. We had our mama shop again and as usual, everything was wiped out. We had to keep going out to buy our stock everyday.
Night session was again awesome.

11/12/2006 (Monday)

We had our indoor games. Weather was great until the 2nd last game. But God had mercy on us as He spared the camp comm from being sabo-ed. haha. Everyone had fun during the games. It was whacky! We started the games by having them paint "L I K E C R A Z Y" (camp theme) with their hair! Life size paint brushes. We had a "discernment" game in between each game and the forfeits were utterly gross! Superworms, raw and rotting kuning fish with millworms, bloodworms, fried grasshoppers etc.. But the campers were outstanding!

Night session was again a blast! This night, I was very emotional and proud of my cell as i saw them kneeling on the ground crying and wailing for God. God met them and wrecked their lives during the altar call. We were seating in a corner at the back and I saw God move among them. Even the hardest nuts to crack were on their faces crying and groaning before Him. It was a breakthrough for my cell and everyone left the hall changed, transformed for the glory of God. I'm so proud of all of them and they're what make my life. KC cell, you guys rock!

Well, you may think we've come to the end of our camp but no! we showed a 15 min video of past camps and photos making the campers think it was a finale night but little did they know, the video ended with a static and out came another video for the......
NIGHT GAME! I must commend that the night game was very proffessionally done. It was a murder case of 5 people who died when 10 friends gathered at a chalet for a reunion. The campers enjoyed it and so did the camp comm.

12/12/2006 (Tuesday)

Yes, sadly we've come to the end of LIKE CRAZY camp 2006. Friends bonded, new friendships were build, lives were wrecked for His kingdom and the list goes on.................

A philippino student was asked to form a sentence with the words "chicken, nut and bread". She thought for for quite some time and came out with this, (in a philippino slang) "yesterday, when my sister was sleeping, i put a pillow on her face and chicken nut bread (she cannot breathe)"...

WAHAHAHAHA!! RAWR!! it's so hilarious! ok whatever. i'm not racist. i love the philippines very very much and i love the people more. i just find this very funny.
